Search by keyword
Enter a keyword or keywords to create an html search result gallery of images which match your keyword selection.
Match all words means Vancouver and Island will show all images which have both keywords including Vancouver Island and Granville Island.
Match any words means all images with Vancouver and Island will show up. This will also include Hornby Island and Captain Vancouver.
Exclude these words would remove any images which had that word entered. For example, using match all words, enter Vancouver and Island, exclude these words Granville. This will show all images that have keywords Vancouver and Island , but will remove all Granville Island images from the search results.
Search within Results enables you to refine your first search. Click the Search within Results button after your first search. So, from the Vancouver Island search results, you can then enter recreation. The results will be refined down to recreation images on Vancouver Island.
Refine search to vertical or horizontal images:
You can further refine your selection to show only horizontal or vertical images by selecting the appropriate format below the search text fields.
Search by image name
Type or paste the image file name in the keyword search window and press search button.
Can’t find the image you are looking for?
If you are unable to find an image, we can access thousands of additional images by conducting an analog search of our files. These can either be shipped, or in some cases, scanned and emailed to you for review.
We can also provide a custom search service from of our digital files. We will assemble a collection of images and email you a link to an html file of thumbnails. Each thumbnail can be enlarged for better viewing.
In both cases a custom email form will enable you to provide the pertinent details or you can contact us.
No results on search
Try using fewer keywords. The key word entered may have a synonym, which will be recognized. (ie: new and fresh, growth and development). Try using an alternate word form like fishing instead of fish. Checking the search option box for vertical or horizontal will have eliminated some potential choices, which you may be able to crop.Fill out our custom image research form and we will search our photographer network on your behalf.
Search within search results
Use this feature if you wish to narrow down your search results. Simply select the option of “search within the results” above the search fields. After every search it will default to a new search.
